Welcome to my Millenium Hourglass tutorial. The first steps will be to put the pieces of the hourglass together using one of the sets for the frame in the tubes set up below. I have also included a tube of the transparent glass used for the figure "8" globe and a tube with the sand texture used to fill it. All tubes (except the glass) are represented at 75% of the original size. The glass is at 100%. The tube for the sand should be used as a colour fill pattern, rather than painting as a normal tube.
All tube graphics are from scratch. The original elipse and circle selections were adjusted by playing with the deformation features until they looked right (took several days *grin*).
Each .zip file includes a top, bottom and dowel tube for the frame. Just click on the selection you would like to use for the tutorial and unzip to your favourite folder. Remember to also download the glass and sand .zip files. A link back to this page is not required, but I certainly wouldn't mind receiving credit for my work. :-)
